Personal data relates to a living individual who can be identified from that data. Identification can be by the information alone or in conjunction with any other information in the data controller's possession or likely to come into such possession. The processing of personal data is governed by the GDPR.
Any information you provide will be used and held in accordance with the GDPR 2018. We will do all we can to protect your privacy and to make sure any personal information you share with us is stored securely.

Gemini MTC committee is the Data Controller. This means that the committee will decide how your personal data is processed and for what purposes. The committee can be contacted via the Gemini MTC Secretary (contact details below).
The data that we routinely collect includes a member's title, name, address, email address, telephone numbers, type of membership, voice type and birth date. This is collected directly from members when they join or renew their membership with Gemini MTC.
In addition we collect the titles, names, addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers of Supporters who are on our mailing list.
From time to time and with your permission, we take cast photographs to promote our performances and activities to the general public
Contact information from enquiries made via the web site (name, email address and/or telephone number) is used only to follow up the enquiry and is not routinely stored at this point.
3. How do we process your personal data?
In compliance with the requirements of the GDPR, we process your personal data by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data, by storing it securely, by keeping it up to date, by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access and disclosure and by ensuring that appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data held on computers. The data is held by the Membership and Subscriptions Secretary, (membership forms) and the Ticket Secretary (mailing list). An e version of the members' list is also held by each committee member.
Subject to the explicit consent of individual members, names, email addresses and telephone contact numbers are also stored in the Members' area of the website, which is password protected.
Personally identifiable data is expected to be handled with care and consideration in line with GDPR by all committee members, general members and third parties who come into contact with it and it should be secured and used only in line with its agreed purposes. In the event of a data breach, Gemini MTC committee will investigate the causes, inform individuals affected, provide them with appropriate information and will actively seek to prevent further occurrences in the future,

We keep data for no longer than reasonably necessary to undertake activities listed in section 4 and for a maximum of 6 years (in line with HMRC Tax Law) after the last contact with us. However, you may request that your contact details are deleted from our records at any time. Information about subscribers held in hard copy or electronically will be deleted after 2 years of inaction/no contact. We will ensure all data we hold is routinely cleansed every 2 years as a minimum.

- To administer membership records
- To administer subscriptions and other relevant accounts and records
- To inform you about news, events, activities and performances
- To administer ticket services/sales for shows and concerts
- To fundraise and promote the interests of the society
- To inform members about rehearsals and auditions
- To send greetings cards including birthday, get well or sympathy cards
